My curiosity to understand others is quite often remarked by those closest to me as a personality trait I've had since birth. However, my journey into UX didn't begin until I was mid-way through my university degree and a new concentration was being offered in the field of Interaction Design. Once I made the switch, I quickly fell in love with the field and continue to find opportunities to learn something new and refine the knowledge I've picked up over the years. I've been fortunate enough to find purpose-driven companies that create spaces that nurture curiosity, research, and risk that have made a big impact on the kind of Designer I am today and the value I bring to future work opportunities. My goal is to continue to work with companies and teams that have created opportunities for growth and impact with user-centric values at the core of what they do.
Experience
Over the past 10 years, I've worked with startups across different verticals, developing research studies, wireframes, designs, and strategic plans that drive usability and desirability. For the last 4 years, in particular, I've been focusing on developing my knowledge in the fintech space with companies like WeSupply whose goal was to launch a crypto-lending platform, and Marble Financial which provides financial health services and tools for Canadians in the subprime market.
